Gnell's Escape

Gnell was a quiet and quaint little Gnixie who enjoyed frolicking down by the well. She did not think that the trouble brewing in the kingdom was very swell. And when the Gnixie Revolution began in earnest and her beautiful castle fell, she could tell it was time to flee from a living hell. So, she quickly gathered as many of her trinkets, treasures and shells as she could carry and flew away as fast as her little chocolate dusted wings could go.
Yes, Gnell was a Chocolate Gnixie who had an affinity for all things chocolate. She even left a faint chocolate trail behind that someone could have followed if they hadn’t otherwise been engaged. After flying in no particular direction for days, the beleaguered princess wondered what would become of her home. She recalled all the wonderful memories of her homeland, along with her friends and family whom she might never get to lay eyes upon again. She felt overwhelmed and briefly wept at her loss.
Afterwards, she dried her eyes and glanced around. She realized she had flown to a beautiful dell full of Lilies and Mixed Coral Bells. A nuthatch sang a lovey tune and a squirrel scampered across a hollow log as the dawn broke and illuminated the picturesque scenery before her. She thought to herself, perhaps this novel location could indeed quell her aching, breaking heart.
A faint wisp of smoke curled upwards from the midst of a clump of trees not too far off in the distance. Tantalizing smells perked Gnell’s curiosity and she realized she was ravenous. There within the grove, she discovered a small village filled with gnomes beginning their morning routines. She made her way to the Happy Bell, a bustling café, where she was served a delightful breakfast along with a frothy beverage the locals were calling Gnalmanazche’s Zhewl. With delightful sights, tastes and sounds emanating from all, she couldn’t keep herself from smiling, laughing gleefully and zestfully fluttering her wings. Chocolate Gnixie Powder filled the room and mugs, which patrons tasted and stirred into their drinks. All eyes found hers. Everyone was gnomazed and cheered. Yes, she thought happily, this certainly could be the beginning of a beautiful friendship….

Now that’s Gnomazing!
