Gnalmanazche’s Zhewl
Before the opening of the gate into our world…..
Before the mass exodus from Gnomomia…..
When Gnomomia was yet a quiet little planet in a galaxy not so far away from our own, Gnalmanazche set out upon his ultimate quest. While little remains of the overall details of his gallant adventure, one thing remains from his discoveries. And it is this, that has been passed down from sage to sage over the ages until today. The gnomes refer to it as Gnalmanazche’s Zhewl. In English, we simply refer to it as Milk of the Almond or, a.k.a., Almond Milk.
What we know, or what we have been able to decipher from ancient gnomish scrolls, is that Gnalmanazche lugged a dormant seed to the Gnizaminint Gorge, a fertile valley with abundant sunshine where he settled down to study and unlock the potential of his discovery. As he had a green thumb, he knew instinctively what he needed to do with this seed in order to get it to sprout. Thus, he soaked it briefly in the Gnizminint River until the Gnalmand sparked with life. After which, he buried it shallowly near his mushroom home; called upon his innate plant gnagic (magic); and helped usher forth a beautiful Gnalmand Tree. Taking the seeds from this tree, he grew a gnorchard and began his famous experiments on the wonderful attributes of the Gnalmand. One of his most infamous recipes exists to this very day….Gnalmanazche’s Zhewl.
We now know that almonds are a very good source of protein; minerals like Calcium, Potassium and Magnesium; and vitamins like B and E. Some benefits of almond consumption on a regular basis might include better gastro-intestinal health, better complexion and better mental health as we age. Plus, almond milk does not contain soy, lactose, cholesterol or saturated fat.
Now that’s Gnomazing!
